Up the Déise, is scheduled to be staged at the Theatre Royal Waterford from the 21st to the 24th  October 2026. This is a play about a young Waterford hurling team on their journey to an All-Ireland Inclusive Five-a- Side title, and we hope to cast up to 6 actors with intellectual disabilities in roles as the team players.

To facilitate casting, we ran acting workshops over a 4-6 week period from mid March to May. These invovled a commitment of approximately 1 hour on Saturday mornings.

The workshops were hosted by our Director David Hennessy, at the David Hennessy Stage School. Many thanks to David,  Brenda, Aisling and Shauna for facilitating these workshops, and to all of our 16 participants, who received their Certificates of Achievement on Saturday 2nd May.
